VG: What is more dangerous: Climate changes, demented leaders, or the economic, social and health tsunami caused by Covid?
ALICE: Objectively speaking, it is Russia. It always interferes and messes things up, including the demented leader that they’ve installed in this country. Just ask any Pole or Ukrainian, and they would surely confirm it. Or ask any other country fighting the specter of communism, like the US does day in, day out. But of course, if you are a Trumpist, you’ll start blaming China.
HOBBS: I’ve heard it from a Russian specialist in State Department, that in Russian language, if you read Russia backward, you’ll get the word “interference.” Vladimir refuses to confirm it, but why on earth should we doubt the State Department? They have a quote on lies per each year, and in a good Stalinist manner, they’ve already over-fulfilled it by 500%. So they don’t have any reason to lie on this one.
Indeed, every time the West wants to do its usual tricks of regime change, neoliberal destruction of a country, a plain old bombing or a disinformation campaign, it is only Russia that occasionally says no, that is, it does interfere in western plans and designs.
VG: OK, guys, I got it, but how does Russia fit with Covid or Climate, let alone the demented leaders, of which it had its own share.
HOBBS: I am sure that some hard-core Brezhnivites in both Russia and China want to see Biden in the White House. That would be such a great day for them. To re-experience the happy past, what can be better? They say that you can’t enter the same river twice. With Biden you can. And not just twice. It will be every day. Every day, there will boring speeches from the White House Crypt, magnified by the NYT-NPR publicity campaign matched only by Pravda of its heyday: Oh, the glorious decision of our never sleeping leader. Another Trump decree is over-turned. Another Trumpist fired. Another decision reversed. Oh, the ever-wise Biden. You wink, and the California fires recede. You sign a new ordinance, and Covid is withdrawing. You lift the phone, and the cops turns into nuns. You frown, and Russia stops interfering; you invest in green technology and stock market goes through the roof. With such press as NYT, who’ll be afraid of any climate change? It will be dismissed as the result of Russian disinformation campaign trying to sow the discord, and things will straighten up.
ALICE: Say what you want, but as long as it is a miserable day for all the scumbags who’ve supported this criminal Trump, it is fine with me. This guy is an outrage, and the sooner we get rid of him the better. That’s how all the progressive forces in the world think: just get rid of the irritant.
Lukashenko is bad, so let’s get rid of him. Miloshevic is bad, let’s get rid of him. Let alone Saddam or other petty tyrants. And what’s the result? The results are fantastic. Just look at Ukraine or Libya. Libya is now the center of slave trade – the lucrative and important activity hidden away from our sensitive eyes, as we’ve insisted. Same with Ukraine where Democracy is being build faster than Biden son lines his pockets or the Ukrainian girls move to Europe to provide necessary sexual services for the elderly Europeans. As long as all these sordid activity is done under the radar, it is perfectly fine. “We are clean, so that you can be dirty.” That’s the motto of all progressives in the West. And that’s my motto as well. I am clean and virtuous, while you two…
HOBBS: Good point, Alice. Now I understand the mechanics of it. Poles simply want to live like Germans. So while Germans enjoy the favors from Polish girls, Poles want to enjoy the same favors from Belarus girls. That’s how the progress works. First the most advanced countries move ahead, then the rest want to join in. And from what I understand, there are plenty of Russians who think that this is a great model. If you can’t beat them, join them.
VG: Interesting point about Russia. The country is surely searching for itself, and the sooner it realizes that the western model of inclusion of some, while excluding others, is neither truly democratic nor moral; nor can it appeal to Russian innate sense of community and justice. I know a lot of my friends like to talk about Russian cynicism. Russians might be cynical in words, while the west had been consistently cynical and ruthless in its actions, while developing a rather sophisticated ideological structure to dress up its cynicism. Luckily, many Russians still have antibodies, which they developed fighting the virus of Brezhnevism, so they can resist western propaganda and its promises made with a forked tongue. One just hopes that enough Belarusians, as opposed to Ukrainians who are long gone, would do the same. As long as they don’t listen to their brainwashed youth, who have nothing in their heads except cheesy western slogans which rhyme freedom with democracy, leaving destruction, slavery, and prostitution for the scholarly footnotes.
